QSX Privacy Policy

Effective: August 4, 2026

QSX streams amateur radio repeater audio on Apple TV, with an iPhone companion app for settings that are easier to type on a phone.

The short version

QSX collects nothing. There are no accounts with us, no analytics, no ads, and no tracking. Everything you enter stays in your own iCloud account.

What the app stores, and where

• Favorites and custom stream URLs are stored on your devices and in your personal iCloud database so your iPhone and Apple TV stay in sync. We cannot read them — they live in your private CloudKit database, not on any server of ours.
• Broadcastify Premium credentials (optional) are stored using CloudKit’s encrypted fields in your private database. They are readable only by your signed-in devices, are never written to local storage, and are sent only to Broadcastify’s audio servers to play feeds you choose. Remove them at any time from the Companion tab.

Where audio comes from

Streams are provided by third parties — repeater clubs’ own web receivers and, optionally, Broadcastify. When you play a stream, your device connects to that provider directly, which necessarily reveals your IP address to them, exactly as any radio or streaming app would. Their privacy policies govern what they do with connection logs.

The stream catalog is fetched anonymously from a public URL; no identifier accompanies the request.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be noted here with a new effective date.
