QSY Privacy Policy
Effective: August 3, 2026
QSY has no server, no accounts, and no analytics. Nothing you do in the app
is recorded or sent anywhere for our benefit — we have no way to know who
you are or that you used it.
One thing does leave your device, and only to make the app work: when QSY
loads repeaters for your area, it sends the name of your region (state
or country) to RepeaterBook.com. That is a coarse location, which is why
the App Store privacy label lists it. Your precise position never leaves
your device.
- Location is used on your device to find amateur radio repeaters near you
and along your route. To download repeater directories, only your coarse
region (state/country name) is sent to RepeaterBook.com. Your precise
location never leaves your device.
- Bluetooth is used solely to connect to your own amateur radio
transceiver.
- Repeater data is fetched from RepeaterBook.com and cached on your
device. Searches for repeater audio feeds query Broadcastify.com with the
repeater’s public callsign (never your information).
- Your saved data (favorites, recent destinations, settings) stays on your
device.
