QTH computes your Maidenhead grid square and distances/bearings between grids.
QTH collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything is computed on your device.
When you ask for your grid square, the app uses your location once to compute it — the coordinate is converted to a grid string on the device (including its MGRS, UTM, DMS, and Plus Code renderings) and discarded. The coordinate itself is never stored, never transmitted, and the app has no background location access. The most recent grid string is kept on the device so the home/lock screen widget and Siri can show it; the widget never reads your location. Anything you type stays on your device.
