Common questions

No repeaters are loading. QSY fetches a worldwide directory that needs no account. If the network is unavailable, Settings → Load sample data populates a demonstration set. Adding a free RepeaterBook key in Settings enables their larger directory.

My radio won’t connect. QSY controls Icom CI-V radios (IC-705 and IC-905 over built-in Bluetooth; IC-7100 and most older Icoms through a BLE-serial adapter on the CI-V jack) and CAT-capable Yaesu and Kenwood rigs through a Bluetooth CAT bridge. Radios with no control protocol still get tune-by-hand cards with the frequency, offset and tone.

What does “simplex” mean on a listing? Some entries in the public directories are simplex Allstar or IRLP nodes rather than duplex repeaters — you transmit on the same frequency you listen to. QSY labels these so they aren’t mistaken for repeaters.
